The defendant appeared earlier than Justice Musa Karaye on a one-count cost of legal misappropriation involving cash allegedly belonging to Fahad Adaji.
The cost sheet said that the alleged offence occurred in Kano between September and October 2024.
According to the prosecution, the cash was transferred to a First Bank account held by Muazu Abdullahi following Abdulmajid’s directions. The funds have been reportedly meant to facilitate the acquisition of IRS Spaghetti from BUA.
Upon the studying of the cost, the defendant denied the allegation by getting into a plea of not responsible.
Prosecution counsel, Mustapha Maiwada, subsequently requested the court docket to repair a date for trial and order the defendant’s remand in a custodial facility.
Justice Karaye granted the request and directed that Abdulmajid be held in a correctional facility pending additional proceedings.
