The administration of the Lagos International Trade Fair Complex Management Board (LITFCMB) has backed the National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC) over its crackdown on counterfeit merchandise at the advanced, warning merchants towards actions that threaten public well being.
The board’s Executive Director and Chief Executive Officer, Veronica Safiya Ndanusa, gave the peace of mind in an announcement following the arrest of two individuals allegedly linked to the unlawful revalidation of expired drinks and manufacturing of counterfeit consumables inside the facility.
Ndanusa condemned using the advanced for the manufacturing and distribution of pretend and substandard merchandise, saying such actions contradicted the board’s dedication to authentic commerce and moral enterprise practices.
